Here, every condiment from ketchup to plant-based mayo-spread made from fermented ingredients is crafted in-house, and the bread is specially ordered to ensure top-quality sandwiches that are truly delightful.<\/span><\/p>\n

The space, abundant with greenery and flowers, is not just a cafe but also recommended as a rental space, ideal for various events and gatherings.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/b>A Relaxing Space Filled with Plants<\/b><\/h2>\n

“Switch Casual Lounge” is located along Keirinjo-dori in Suizenji.<\/span><\/p>\n

The charming shop is on the first floor of a building, adorned with lots of plants and flowers at the entrance.<\/span><\/p>\n

Parking is available next to the shop in spaces 5, 12, and 14, with space 13 designated for bicycles, making it a great spot to drop by on a casual bike ride.<\/span><\/p>\n

The interior, which has both counter and table seating, basks in natural light.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

There are also comfortable sofa seats, and the bouquet of dried flowers adds a lovely touch.<\/span><\/p>\n

The open kitchen contributes to a homely atmosphere.<\/span><\/p>\n

On the counter, lemon muffins and <\/span>tarte Tatin<\/span><\/i> tempt the customers, each looking delicious.<\/span><\/p>\n

There are also sweets made without eggs or wheat, which is great news for vegans.<\/span><\/p>\n

Chicken, pork, and fish sandwiches are priced at 770 yen, while the soup costs 550 yen.<\/span><\/p>\n

The “Switch Set” includes a sandwich, soup, and a drink for 1,670 yen. Various sweets and drinks also on offer.<\/span><\/p>\n

I decided to indulge in the Switch Set for a fuller experience.<\/span><\/p>\n

From the two soup options, I chose the carrot soup.<\/span><\/p>\n

The bright orange soup was thick and creamy with a lovely green garnish.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was subtly sweet and creamy, and also contained button mushrooms.<\/span><\/p>\n

You can have your sandwich split for sharing, which is great for enjoying with a friend. I opted to try half each of their pork and their fish sandwiches.<\/span><\/p>\n

The fish was crispy fried white fish with leafy greens inside fluffy bread.<\/span><\/p>\n

The pork sandwich was equally satisfying with pork, lettuce, and a thin omelette among other fillings.<\/span><\/p>\n

The sandwiches here are crafted with care, featuring homemade mayonnaise and ketchup, all packed with love and attention to detail. They’re truly sandwiches to savor.<\/span><\/p>\n

I opted for a herbal tea, which had a refreshing mint aroma that soothed the senses.<\/span><\/p>\n

For an additional 200 yen, you can upgrade to a whole pot of tea, perfect for those who want to enjoy a leisurely tea experience after their meal.<\/span><\/p>\n

A Passion for Ingredients and the Caf\u00e9’s Story<\/b><\/h2>\n

The owner, Junko, began re-evaluating food choices due to her son’s allergies and places great importance on using reliable ingredients and carefully preparing meals. <\/span>“Even something as simple as mayonnaise or ketchup is better when it’s homemade,” she says, and the food here is proof of that delicious philosophy.<\/span><\/p>\n

Originally, she provided sandwiches once a month at a friend\u2019s caf\u00e9, “Cafe Pony,” which was well received and encouraged her to pursue her long-held dream of opening her own place.<\/span><\/p>\n

At Switch, you’re welcome to read a book, work on your laptop, or just unwind.<\/span><\/p>\n

The caf\u00e9 is closed from Sunday to Tuesday, but the space is available for meetings and as a rental space.<\/span><\/p>\n
