If that sounds like you, then let me introduce you to Kumamoto Fukushiroya Saketen\u2014the perfect spot to satisfy that craving.<\/span><\/p>\n

A Neighborhood That Balances Convenience and Nostalgia\u2014Shinmachi<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Shinmachi may be a little removed from Kumamoto\u2019s city center and train station, but it’s surprisingly convenient, with plenty of buses and streetcars running through.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s only about a 10-minute walk from Sakuramachi (a large shopping center and Kumamoto’s main bus terminal), making it a great location.<\/span><\/p>\n

This area has preserved its old-town charm, offering a sense of warmth and nostalgia that makes you feel right at home.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

As I wandered through Shinmachi, I stumbled upon a liquor store called “Kumamoto Fukushiroya Saketen”.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

And guess what? You can actually drink alcohol inside the store. Even in the morning.<\/span><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s check it out!<\/span><\/p>\n

An Impressive Selection!<\/h2>\n

Step inside, and you\u2019ll be greeted by rows upon rows of alcohol.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

They even have international beers.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Not just that\u2015 there are snacks, and sometimes even antique goods on display.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The place is so well-organized and visually appealing that you could spend ages just browsing.<\/span><\/p>\n

And get this\u2014<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\u2014they have a cellar room too!<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a treasure trove of wine and sake!<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

There are plenty of rare finds, including elegant wines and beautifully labeled sake bottles.<\/span><\/p>\n

Here you can see some bottles of sake with cute labels!<\/span><\/p>\n

Of course, they carry a great selection of Kumamoto\u2019s locally brewed sake including\u00a0 Kameman (\u4e80\u842c), Kouro (\u9999\u9732), Reizan (\u308c\u3044\u3056\u3093) and Chiyo-no-Sono (\u5343\u4ee3\u306e\u5712).<\/span><\/p>\n

Oh, and check this out\u2014frozen drinks! You can choose between alcoholic or non-alcoholic options.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since we’re here, let\u2019s have a drink!<\/span><\/p>\n

The store opens at 9 AM, so if you want to start early, go right ahead. They don\u2019t just serve draft beer\u2014you can also get highballs, wine, and sake!<\/span><\/p>\n

First up\u2014draft craft beer! They had two options to choose from.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

They have tables and chairs outside of the shop where you can enjoy your drinks right on site.<\/span><\/p>\n

I got a generously poured craft beer for just 500 yen.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Under this gorgeous sky, I raise my glass\u2015 cheers!<\/span><\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t get better than this.<\/span><\/p>\n

Next, I tried one of their on- tap offerings.<\/span><\/p>\n

They actually have four different kinds on tap!<\/span><\/p>\n

When you order, you\u2019ll receive a drink ticket.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Then, they\u2019ll pour a huge glass of beer for you.<\/span><\/p>\n

And they do it with incredible care.<\/span><\/p>\n

They even take extra steps to remove any unpleasant foam residue, making sure you get the best possible taste.<\/span><\/p>\n

Paired with some snacks I bought in the store, this is the ultimate indulgence.<\/span><\/p>\n

Enjoying a cold beer under the sun in such a relaxed atmosphere\u2026 pure bliss!<\/span><\/p>\n

No Way We\u2019re Not Drinking! Daytime Beers, Here We Come!<\/h2>\n

Kumamoto Fukushiroya Saketen is primarily a liquor wholesaler supplying alcohol to restaurants, but retail shoppers are more than welcome as well. Even better\u2014you can drink on-site and even sample some of the products!<\/span><\/p>\n

You can buy snacks inside, or even bring your own!<\/span><\/p>\n

With easy access via streetcar or bus, it\u2019s a super convenient place to drop by for a casual drink. Since they open early in the morning, it\u2019s also ideal for daytime drinking.<\/span><\/p>\n
