In Japanese they are known as the Aso Gokaku (\u963f\u8607\u4e94\u5cb3) or the &#8220;Five Peaks of Aso&#8221;.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This time, I decided to climb Nekodake, a mountain I usually only gaze up at, with the aim to look down from it!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is just an article about climbing a mountain. Enjoy it as a little pastime.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><b>Taking on Nekodake!<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-709 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/higojournal.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1708068528-c270eb7dd0e8b6b2e46e7b8efb3a1362-500x375.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" srcset=\"https:\/\/higojournal.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1708068528-c270eb7dd0e8b6b2e46e7b8efb3a1362-500x375.jpg 500w, https:\/\/higojournal.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1708068528-c270eb7dd0e8b6b2e46e7b8efb3a1362.jpg 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From afar, Nekodake is recognizable by its jagged (somewhat cat-like?) silhouette.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Interestingly, the shape of the Aso Five Peaks is said to resemble Buddha lying on his back, leading to Nekodake being dubbed the facial position of &#8216;Aso&#8217;s Reclining Buddha&#8217; or\u00a0 &#8216;Aso&#8217;s Sleeping Buddha&#8217;.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There&#8217;s also an urban legend that domestic cats go to Mount Nekodake to train under the &#8216;Cat King&#8217; residing there.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It&#8217;s accessible for hiking from Takamori Town, and the Ooto Ridge route is a perfect day-hike to the summit, achievable in less than two hours one way.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this journey, we&#8217;re heading to Nekodake East Peak via the beginner-friendly Ooto Ridge (\u5927\u6238\u5c3e\u6839, \u014ctoone) route.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-710 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/higojournal.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1708068556-ffd9b864200a129c1db4e3d164666d95.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Even though it&#8217;s a day hike, never underestimate the mountain. Proper gear is essential. You&#8217;ll need something to drink (about 1 liter), food (lunch or snacks), a compass and map, non-slip shoes (like hiking boots), gloves, and a hat. Mobile phones often get reception, so take yours along. If you&#8217;re a first-timer, absolutely go with someone experienced. I can&#8217;t stress this enough \u2013 underestimating mountains is a big NO.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><b>Parking Area<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">You can start the climb from Takamori Town, and with the parking area well-maintained, you don&#8217;t need to worry about finding a place to park your car.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-711 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/higojournal.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1708068595-4e3cd62fb9c4dedb57465805c85c1bd1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Keep an eye out for signs along the way so you don&#8217;t miss them.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-712 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/higojournal.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1708068615-9794fd6cfbc30722caad47ead7bbbd12.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The first parking area is near the trailhead, but it&#8217;s more of a &#8216;slope&#8217; than a parking lot.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-713 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/higojournal.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1708068634-f744b962ae0e7195cefbc73ccb6aea89.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">There is also a second parking\u00a0 area. This is the sign pointing towards it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-714 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/higojournal.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1708068654-9b4d7adbb1bacc79d3bdef3f1b219e2f.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">This is the second parking area. There are no restrooms at either parking area, so it&#8217;s a good idea to take care of that beforehand.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><b>And we begin the ascent!<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">So, let&#8217;s start with some warm-up exercises and begin our walk towards the summit of Nekodake.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-715 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/higojournal.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1708068689-42ee6b8b185dd6c7d703c0b8753f0678.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The initial part of the ascent follows a<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">road.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-717 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/higojournal.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1708068741-f26a13bd7ea37bfd1d3c1186af08de34.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">It seemed like the cow was seeing me off as I started my journey.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-718 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/higojournal.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1708068760-bca99d5e142aed8b1e62109011f12539.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"415\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">You first pass through a grazing area to get to the trailhead. Approximately 2 kilometers to the summit. A round trip of 4 kilometers. I begin my climb, planning to reach the summit around noon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-723 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/higojournal.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1708068878-fb408743126b90edc3e5898134f1819f.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The trailhead lies just beyond this hill. Watch out, there&#8217;s a lot of cow dung around.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-724 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/higojournal.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1708068898-860e453e908ac7b14e2f02978cdee36a.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">I arrived at the trailhead.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-725 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/higojournal.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1708068920-0455e17773c7e7fb3fbd87788107534d.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">I duck under and enter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">This part can be a bit tricky to navigate!<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><b>Steep Mountain Path<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">There aren&#8217;t many guiding signs in the way, so you&#8217;ll climb while looking for paths that people have walked or markers like ribbons.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-726 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/higojournal.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1708068964-ce8b5c5d477bd6420f8d89b57f10fe34.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Nekodake is a short but steep climb. It goes without saying, but it is all uphill!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-727 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/higojournal.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1708068985-b43535a822ad474674dc238b9db90900.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the Achilles tendon stretched and knees and<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">hamstrings feeling shaky,<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I make my way up, grabbing onto trees and ropes for support.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-729 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/higojournal.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1708069015-d07d236a49ca36b189dc4a10433d542d.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">About halfway up, there&#8217;s a signboard.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-728 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/higojournal.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1708069007-7eed31086e0a619f21c347aeeb0a3cae.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The crucial part is missing. It&#8217;s a good spot to take a break and fill in the blanks on this sign for a bit of fun.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-730 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/higojournal.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1708069062-b16dcb9cb079ea76399918de775e9dd0.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Climbing with the help of ropes like this, I&#8217;m grateful to those who maintain the path.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-731 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/higojournal.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1708069082-b025622ef9b50b9537a8ed3e221e605e.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">After climbing for a while, the view opens up, and you can see Takamori Town. The summit is still a long way to go.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-732 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/higojournal.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1708069111-2422192e2c7278cec5d57de624596822.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Directions that aren&#8217;t part of the trail are clearly marked with a big &#8216;X&#8217;. Make sure to follow the right path.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-733 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/higojournal.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1708069131-b5359a4d921058e7e4733b8f08ee90b6.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The direction of the yellow arrow is the correct route. To figure out how to climb, I go closer and&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-734 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/higojournal.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1708069150-d61468a67490f900f5f28bb66f2263ad.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">I found a ladder behind the rocks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-735 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/higojournal.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1708069171-8d2059537efb66c90f217c693ba5077b.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Beneath the ladder is a cliff. I&#8217;ll climb carefully. It&#8217;s been about an hour to get here. I&#8217;ll keep looking ahead and move forward.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-736 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/higojournal.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1708069191-6a71f1f50c7c641cf1b410d738031cce.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A piece of advice here: don&#8217;t think &#8216;I&#8217;m almost at the summit.&#8217; It always takes longer than you expect. You can overlook Takamori Town. It seems there are other routes too, as I saw people <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">rriving from different directions.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-739 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/higojournal.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1708069266-5cf70954b7d0ff460240a6d40e0cd048.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Almost at the summit, just a little more to the jagged part!<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I think that&#8217;s Minamiaso village in the distance.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-741 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/higojournal.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1708069310-15bc07f120fbf4fe1529ba2dbf7eb434.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Once you cross this rock, you&#8217;ll reach the summit. It&#8217;s not immediately obvious, but there are cliffs on both sides. Carefully traverse it using the ropes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-742 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/higojournal.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1708069332-857cd6ca019a927981149efd7677c045.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">I reached the summit in about 1 hour and 30 minutes. The weather was good that day, and there were around 5 other groups of people there.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-743 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/higojournal.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1708069353-8cf09d74b86d8395c0d0fcccd4683d48.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">I wonder if the mountain in the distance that seems to have smoke coming from it is Mt. Nakadake. You can overlook the landscape surrounded by the outer rim of the caldera.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-744 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/higojournal.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1708069371-c27d0e20846040b8a57121fa1d4a9573.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">As it was lunchtime, I boiled some water for coffee and had a light snack before descending. Coffee on the summit is exceptional!<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><b>Be Careful on Your Way Down!<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">While climbing was tough on the Achilles tendon, the descent puts constant pressure on the toes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-745 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/higojournal.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1708069409-f88c62bc0fce93eac5fc847dc73a111e.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Don&#8217;t let the joy of reaching the summit make you lose focus. 70% of slipping accidents happen on the way down.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-746 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/higojournal.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1708069429-b0966fe69c1515fe6a96712071a2b298.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">If you carefully observe the slippery ground, you&#8217;ll notice newly sprouted trees and small flowers blooming at your feet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-747 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/higojournal.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1708069450-8118120b6c84536445bb29f50acf0963.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">\u00a0I finished the descent around 2 PM. Including the break at the summit, it was about a 4-hour hike in total. The Five Peaks of Aso offer stunning views that change with the seasons.
