“Be TREE” Is A Popular Bakery For Its Bread That Sells out In the Morning & You Can Have A Picnic On The Spacious Grounds!

writer:kese kese

Ever dreamed of grabbing your favorite loaf and just diving into a vast green space for an impromptu picnic on a nice day?

Ever wish you could do it without trekking all the way to a park?

And, just maybe, if your bread stash runs low, you can just waltz over and get more in a jiffy?

Well, that’s not a wild dream in Ozu Town. “Be TREE”, a bakery extraordinaire, is turning those picnic fantasies into a scrumptious reality!

Unroll that Picnic Blanket and Dive In!

“Be TREE” in Ozu Town specializes in bread and coffee.

Outside, awaits a sprawling outdoor space for you to sit down and relish your buys.

It’s an unadulterated and expansive plaza, equipped with roofed table seating and… wait for it… a balance beam! (Yep, I wondered about that too, but hey, time to embrace your inner child, right?)

They’ve branded this zone as the “Gathering Square”, with plans to embellish it with lush grass and more amenities.

Imagine lounging there, gazing at distant mountains and the expansive sky with scrumptious bread and coffee in hand. Sounds dreamy, right?

Some Popular Items Sell Out In The Morning!

The bakery “Be TREE” opened for business on May 7, 2019.

I dove in with their signature “Jinnai Shokupan” bread stamped with the “Be TREE” emblem.

It’s so popular, it often sells out before noon!

No water is used at all. It’s crafted with a lavish blend of milk, honey, and condensed milk, radiating an intoxicating aroma.

Soft, moist, and with a gentle sweetness that unfurls with every bite.  Truly, it’s bread so good, you might end up devouring it as is, no jam or butter necessary.

 Then there’s the “Campagne 60”.

Made with natural yeast, 60% of the weight of this hearty bread boasts is made of three types of dried fruit and six kinds of nuts. Weigh it in your hand, and you’ll feel its wholesome heft.

It’s an incredibly rich and aromatic ‘campagne’ (country loaf).

The inside is chock full of dried fruits and nuts!

The outside was moderately firm, while the inside was elastic and chewy. It was full of flavor.

The last one is “Anko & Butter”.

Using Hokkaido azuki beans and Yotsuba butter, this soft French dough offers both texture and a cloud-like softness.

The richness, flavor, and saltiness unique to Yotsuba butter and the sweet red bean paste were a perfect match and very delicious.

I also recommend the scones and espresso lattes.

Open Bright and Early at 8 AM!

Inside the store, you’re welcomed by warm and charming personalities.

From the left, we have Manager Imaike-san, followed by staff members Sakai-san and Tsuru-san

They are very cheerful and kind people.

Be TREE is open from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.

It’s a haven for parents post-daycare drop-offs or folks on their way to and from work.

With diaper-changing facilities available, parents with infants can lounge and enjoy the alfresco setting without worry.

So, why not take a trip, find your favorite bread or coffee, and savor them amidst nature’s embrace? Whether you’re taking it to go or having a bite right there, the experience is bound to be extraordinary!
